Re: The October Challenge Discussion Thread: 2017

I just started Murder By the Clock, and (sadly, lol) my first thought at the beginning of the movie was...it's bigger on the inside!! I have a strange sense of humor...sigh. 1931? That's sadly a forgotten classic. One of the best horror flicks of the 1930's, and yet few I know have seen it. Hope yo...

Thank you.
Did it have any redeeming qualities? A title like that sounds sounds like it'd be good for a laugh.
It was at least good for a couple of those, yes, but that is about it.

I took most of the day off, now I am :D ready to kick it into gear again with a light-hearted horror...Attack of the Killer Donuts...should be very amusing, to say the least. Flyingspider your list so far is the kinda thing people should stop take notice bow and pay respect to. No joke it's impress...

Seed...what to say, without spoilers...there are some very grisly parts in this, if you can get by those, I thought this was a very good movie...I shall reserve other comments unless asked.

Re: The October Challenge - Official Guidelines

Well, I have already passed that "new watch" rule..now I can stop thinking too much into this and watch old favorites that I have not seen in a long time! Well done. The spirit of the challenge is to push new watches, but having fun and being enamored with old favorites is part of it as w...

Re: The October Challenge Discussion Thread: 2017

Magic, right? Yeah, I was pretty blown away when I first saw it. I was more surprised at the time that I had never heard of it. This must've been close to ten years ago. I think I bought it and watched it immediately. Hopkins did a phenomenal job. I read a story too that on the first night that Hop...

Re: The October Challenge Discussion Thread: 2017

Although I have never watched it before this month, over the years I have heard about it of course, so I sort of knew what to expect. I felt sorry for him in the beginning. The movie itself moved along fine, for me anyway, more than others I have watched for this. But just when I thought what was go...

Re: The October Challenge Discussion Thread: 2017

I guess I put my last post in the wrong place, sorry...I lost my focus for a while yesterday, took a little break, and now I am back. Most of the movies I have watched have been first time viewings, and most of them I have liked. Magic was one of those, Blue Sunshine, and The New Daughter were a cou...

Hello everyone!

I would like to be more sociable, but as I know we are all watching movies, doing your job, or other things, I can come back and be sociable in November...no problem!

Party on!

Re: Old movie

I am not sure if it did for the whole movie, but I think an army of some sort had something to do with getting rid of them, so that is possible, yes.

Re: Podcasts

About two years ago, I started listening to The NoSleep Podcast. They are original/disturbing horror stories read by voice actors. I think they are great. I will give you that some stories are so so, but some others will mess with your head. They come out every week. Ironically the only time I can g...

Old movie

I have a question. I am looking for a movie I saw a long time ago, only once, so I do not have much info to go on. It was a black and white from either the late 50's or the 60's. Possibly sci-fi/horror. All I only vaguely remember is it had something to do with either bats, or spiders attacking peop...

Re: Hello everyone!

Well I did warn all of you that I do not watch zombie movies, I must mildly edit that remark. I have watched (and liked) Night of the Living Dead (1968). I watched Dead Snow (2009) with my son, and he reminds me I did not like it, and no, I could not tell you why I did not like it. There are a small...

Hello everyone!

I learned about this site from moviechat.com and it seemed cool. I am an older woman who is a moderate horror fan. I grew up watching Creature Features and Svengoolie movies. I am pretty open to different horror genres, but I do not care for zombie movies at all. Partly because they all seem the sam...
