Sucks to hear so many of you guys struggling. I don't know how, but my company is doing fine despite the chaos. And luckily I'm very good at what I do so my job is secure as long as the company is afloat. However, because of the bullshit and people pissed off, they've decided to split the company and ripped my department apart, and I don't know really where I'm going, and it's created nothing but a mountain of work and I'm at the breaking point, pretty sure I'm gonna get my ass fired. I have no tolerance for stupidity anymore and it's just abound, so I'm p sure I'm screwed.

Part one of the move is done. By that I mean, I'm in LA and all my stuff is in storage in washington. If I find an apartment and the job pans out, I gotta get all my shit down here somehow, so that'll be part two. But it's still an "if" at this point. If not, I'm gonna fuck off. Don't know where yet, but I've done everything I was "supposed to" with my life and it's gotten naught but fucked, so fuck it.

Sorry your work's being shitty. Hopefully they pull their collective heads out of their asses and get shit sorted out.

Fuck man that sucks. Good that you’ve got a lot of experience in your industry and your skill set doesn’t grow on trees, so you should land on your feet if the worst case plays out. One thing I’m grateful for is being adaptable and able to change careers on a dime when I burned out, so I know I can pivot if I need to. Really would like to stay in software though. We got the whole spiel from our CEO and finance people this week about how we’re definitely not selling and we have plenty of cash and everything is fine…so that doesn’t feel like a kiss of death at all…
