That job I was offered? Yeah, they just said fuck off because of my background check. Didn't say what was in my background check, just said to contact the people who did it to dispute it if I think something was wrong. I looked at it, and everything seems fine. Would be nice if they gave me a fucking reason so I know why they're fucking me in the ass. Now I've been on hold with the background people for the past half hour to see if they know what the deal is since I have no contact for the company. I didn't have my hopes up or anything, but fuck, talk about kickin' a man when he's down. The hole I dug for myself is now officially too deep to get out of.

I finally got ahold of the background people and they said they weren't given a reason. The only thing they could find that came up as a red flag was that they couldn't contact anyone at my high school to verify that I graduated. I'm in my fucking forties, why would that matter? They sent me contact info for the company and I reached out, but haven't heard back yet.
