And I don't hate it, but I know fellow SoCal folk are really sick of it.
Finally got my next book back from the editor and going through revisions now. Then I'll send it to a proof reader, hopefully within a month. If things go smooth, I may still get this one out this year.

Positive things. Not as thorough as hoped given how long it took, but the length of time was agreed for "Free" so I couldn't argue that. I guess they looked at it as a general development/consistency editing approach. They did say it was very clean as far as typos and such goes, there are still a little here and there, and I gotta watch for the homonyms, which I do a lot because my fingers do a lot of the thinking for me and I don't see it lol.
The proof read editor is basically the fine-comber of the typo shit, but I'd still like to get it as clean as possible before turning it over to him too.
I do enjoy that she is excited there will be another, didn't see the ending coming, and really loves how I write dialogue and sentence phrasing. Apparently she does a lot of reading for indie authors, and isn't into the others but really likes my shit.
