Getting started on the Joe Bob Last Drive-in movies I missed Friday. Zombie is a personal favorite of mine that I first saw from the backseat of a car at a real Drive-in. It scared me bad enough that I still get a sense of dred when I watch it.

Not that I could really tell the two apart the last time I went through that area (over 10 years ago) but at least one side is better than the other lol. Last time I was in Victorville was in 2010? I was with my Ex, and we stayed the night out there with her sister as we were on the way to Vegas to see her grandfather in the hospital before he passed.
They're basically the same. Victorville is just much bigger with many nicer places and many shittier places. Hesperia is just the condensed version with bigger housing properties really. And I'm in the Eastvale/Jurupa Valley area for work a lot so I keep an eye put for you. Though I know you're probably not wandering the industrial streets before dawn. Lol

Loved Evil Dead Rise. My only take-away, which isn't really a complaint but something I noticed, is they totally stole the music cue from Galadriel's fighting the ring temptation in Fellowship of the Ring for this movie's reoccuring theme. And because I've listened to the LOTR trilogy music a lot, I REALLY noticed it everything it was played in Evil Dead Rise lol.

Odds are it might've been there for temp score, and it just worked so well they kept it. New Line/WB owns both so they ain't gonna sue themselves.

I really liked Evil Dead Rise. For a start, it felt like it was fun to watch. The remake a few years back was personality less trash. But this was horror I can get behind.

I also think they did a great job calling back to the original trilogy in parts which made me happy.
