Update on my mom. About 3 months ago she got really sick because her lungs were filling up with liquid. At first we were told it was COPD causing it and that she also had the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. Two times she had her lungs drained and after about a week was sent home and each time they would fill up and we would put her back in the hospital. Now we are told it's a fissure in her pancreas from a Giant cyst that when she eats pushes liquid into her lungs from inside her pancreas. These kind of cysts can harden and go away on their own after 4 to 6 weeks so she was put in some special center where they feed her with a thing called a TPN that gives her calories and vitamins because she can't have any food because eating upsets her pancreas. Also told she doesn't have Alzheimer's its just her illness causing the cloudy brain. They will recheck the cyst September 8th to see if its fixing itself or if surgery would be needed. Another problem is insurance will only cover her for 24 days where she is at so now they need to find another place to send her to wait until the 8th of September and its limited to where she can go because of the TPN feeding thing. Very stressful shit man
