So, I pre-ordered a 50th Anniversary 4K/bluray steelbook collection of The Exorcist a month or two ago on amazon. It released on October 20th, but it never came and I found out it simply sold out quickly as there were limited prints. I guess it sold better than they imagined. I did some digging and found out there was a slightly beefier version that has a slip case resembling a Bible. It's limited to 2,000 copies so I decided to cancel the Amazon order (which wasn't gonna come anyway) and took to eBay to buy the bible set. I saw only two listings, one where you can buy it now or one where you can bid. I noticed the one where you can buy now sold instantly, so I decided to wait for the bid and jump in at the last minute. I won the set this morning. I spent a lot more than I care to admit (although the other listing was more expensive so I paid less here), but this movie is an absolute masterpiece and watching unboxing videos of this set on YouTube made me have to have it. Every release has a certificate of authenticity and are numbered sets. If I get #666 this thing is gonna be worth a fortune. Lol.
This is what the set looks like. This image doesn't do it justice at all. I can't wait to get this. It has the theatrical version on 4K and bluray and I don't own a copy of the superior theatrical version, so this made it actually a meaningful purchase.
