Gilligan

Post by Reign in Blood »

No skippers. :yee:

Sorry, you guys know I have a penchant for making up terms and shiz. In conversation about music, in particular albums vs. singles, I asked a buddy what's your Gilligan? What albums can you listen to front to back, back to front and not skip a single track? In my old cantankerous age, I'm finding the island small, I'm skip-ee-dee-do-da on most shit, lol.

So what are your Gilligans?

As I get older I'm doing the skippidy stuff, but I don't think it's age rather than the familiarity of an album. So I tend to skip most, if not all. But here are a few albums where I'm more likely never to skip a track.

Born in the U.S.A. - Bruce Springsteen
Cosmo's Factory - Creedence Clearwater Revival
Morrison Hotel - The Doors
The Doors - The Doors
Night Moves - Bob Seger
Spectres - Blue Öyster Cult
Led Zeppelin IV - Led Zeppelin
Let It Bleed - The Rolling Stones

Secrets You Keep - Joe Lamont (an off the wall album I've been digging, as you know)

I just don't listen to albums anymore and that is regrettable. Nowadays it's either Sirius radio or Spotify.

Speaking of Gilligan, just how hot was Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island?
