I've made it to the short story "Dedication" in Nightmares and Dreamscapes for a second time and Night Flier was the only story so far I had any recollection of reading. If there's a movie I will watch it

I personally think The Night Flier is a classic of the late 1990's. Terrified the shit out of me when I was a kid, and has a quality vibe to it.

That said, while I strongly love the film, I can't say that some of it isn't nostalgia. Still, Miguel Ferrer is stellar in it, as is Dan Monahan.

If you can get past the really bad FX work, it's okay.
