Yeah this Halloween season has been flying by.

This has been the glaring hole within Lincoln favorability and his willingness to engage into Civil War which resulted in something like 600,000 people dying. Lincoln may have had no other choice, and at the end of the day it fulfilled America's longest article in the constitution: getting out of the slave trade. So something good did come out of it, but 600,000 dead is 600,000 too many. Both Lincoln and Robert E. Lee shared the same heartache for the war dead and Lee surrendered because of it.

Lincoln's my #2 behind Teddy Roosevelt. No president has ever been perfect.

"Let's cry about Trump" starts 11-1-2024. Thanks for reminding me politics exists in the middle of October though.

and that war could have been avoided imo.
