tom cruise damaged his ankle during a stunt. there is talk that it may be too expensive to insure him for movies in the future, if he continues to seek to do his own stunts for his movies. do you think it is too much a part of his identity to move away from that, or what?

Where is the "talk"? Sounds like stupid speculation from outsiders. Insurance companies decide every day what stunts they will and will not allow. It may affect the premium but he has been doing a lot of stunt work for years and the studio obviously has been paying for insurance.

A motorcycle stunt killed a person on the deadpool set the other day. They are not going to stop doing stunts.

i've just heard it from movie news and reviews sites, so yeah only speculation. but a stunt person whose job it is to do those stunts is different than a lead actor who carries a movie, and also happens to do stunts. just saying.
