Don't Breathe

Pretty excited for this one. Heard good things. Shaping up pretty nicely so far. Lead chicky is cute.

Because unlike some people who shall remain nameless but it starts with Z, I don’t throw everything and the kitchen sink into the horror genre. I have principles to stick to, damnit!

3.5/5. Would've preferred a slightly different ending. :p

I suspect we were hoping for the same outcome. :p

I’ve done the same. But then on a list of 10 films it seems harsh to insist I remove an entry.

Planning for three movies today prior to going to sleep - first one up is Murder Elite (1985).

IMDb: An English woman (Ali MacGraw) returns to her homeland after losing her fortune in America, and is stalked by a serial killer.

Sounds either really fun or really boring. Let's find out.

Murder Elite was very melodramatic at time, but I absolutely loved the ending. Solid piece, if not a bit slow.

By the way, that plot description is completely and utterly off. :P

Will never understand why IMDB is your go-to for everything.

Because it's one of the most-trusted movie sites out there, and about 99% of the time the plots for movies are generally right?

I haven't watched any horror yet. Unless Fear, the one with Marky Mark, counts?

I feel as though Dark Summer had some potential (pretty good cast, save an actor), but squandered it on a subpar script.

And the ending, while having one interesting revelation and one atrocious "plot twist", along with a not-so-great finale, didn't do much to help. Shame. This movie could have been something, but instead, it was something utterly generic. Still okay, and still like most of the cast, but the story wasn't helping anything.

Still waiting for Burnt Offerings. I suspect that will probably be my favorite new watch of the year.

The Rezort was pretty funky though. Mainly because of a good strong premise and intro. Decent production values and cast, at least. :)

Get Out is next. New watch. So far I've got two new watches. The Shallows and Don't Breathe. Don't Breathe wins.
