The Thing.

Mainly watching to see which movie I'll place ahead of the other, this one or The Fog. Both are really close. I watched both (again) for the challenge last year and couldn't decide which one I preferred.

I'm sitting here praising the holy hell out of these two excellent flicks and neither are my favorite of his.

It's not bad, just not worth all the praise.

And really annoying the director is only nominated because she's a woman, and they didn't want a similar Golden Globes backlash. But two other women accomplished better filmmaking in 2017 that easily could've filled that void, both Patty Jenkins and (the superior) Katherine Bigelow.

Indeed. See Detroit yet? She does incredibly solid work on it.
