What is this 3 Billboards movie? I haven't heard of it until recently. Damnit......I want new horror. But none have been coming out lately

An excellent character movie about a mom pissed off that cops did not find the killer/rapist of her daughter, so she publicly shames them by renting out billboards calling them out. Shenanigans ensue.

Possibly career best performance from Frances McDormand (says a lot) and Sam Rockwell's supporting performance also deserved the Oscar win.

It gets controversy by how laid back some of the characters' built-in-racism, but that's not what the story is about, (and it does treat racism as shitty, in spite of it being casual) and it takes place in f'n Missouri, lol.

Best part, it's a dark comedy too.

can't speak on 3 billboards. other than it's by the guy who did in bruges. so, yay.

as for new horror.. what is the last stuff you saw? a quiet place is supposed to be very good. and hereditary too, maybe. both aren't out yet though.

I agree with this being Frances Mcdormands finest work and Sam Rockwells too. Woody Harrelson is also outstanding.
