DRAFT chat

All sports. We don't even mind if its women's Curling or junior badminton. Although we won't have strong opinions on the latter.

It’s hard to get back into HMF routine especially when you’ve been away a while. I sent him a WhatsApp but looks like that’s disabled/deleted I’m guessing. Didn’t even have a “last seen” line. Maybe he’s not in the right place at the minute. But hopefully he’ll be ok.

I am heading to work. From 2 to 6pm, I have a managers meeting. But we should have a break or two during that time. I will check in when I can.

If we pick for him, what happens if he doesn't show up for round 2? 3? Where do those picks go?

I can fill in his roster so he’d have a chance to play it. I assume he’s still in for the season, just struggling to draft?

So here's my thought on how to proceed:

If Reign is not on from 6-7 AM Pacific time (before he goes to work), he won't be on until at least 6-7 in the evening. So at 7 AM Pacific, I think we should give him Le'Veon Bell, who is considered by most analysts to be the best player on the board at #3. From that point forward, we treat the draft as if Reign is not going to be participating and anyone except whoever is drafting right after him (J-Mac in odd rounds, me in even rounds) should be able to pick for him if they're online. If you don't want your opinions to influence, just follow some draft boards online and pick BPA at positions he needs to fill. When/if he checks in, he can then take over for the rest of the draft. But until then, consider his spot in the draft our picks to make. That way, we don't have 1/3 of the teams drafted by one person and won't have to rely on that one person being there and we can move quickly.

The worst case scenario in all this is Reign doesn't play at all this season and all his draft picks are untouchable, we just play around them.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

I can live with this. Agree Bell is the next best on the board and a solid piece.

lmao about 1% of my rationale for giving Reign Le'Veon was to spare J-Mac the shame of drafting a Steeler. What a putz.
