I fell asleep 2/3rds of the way. Not because I didn't like it. I liked what I saw. It was late lol.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Need to revisit, but I remember it as one of the better classic ones. Re: What are you watching?
So far. Only started on episode 3 now. I should revisit Hunt For Red October/Patriot Games/Clear & Present Danger, as I remember them being "good" but as a kid they didn't hold my attention. Sum of All Fears and the Jack Ryan movie looked as mediocre as the receptions were, so I didn't have interest.showa58taro wrote:Good?DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Jack Ryan, series
Plus, for some reason, Jim Halpert is really engaging in the role. Maybe because he does come off as more of an every-man that he was supposed to be, rather than a pretty-baby-doll-eyes like Chris Pine, or Affleck.

Re: What are you watching?
That does sound promising. Wife and I are watching Luke Cage season 2 at the minute. Can make this our next watch. I have a soft spot for John Krasinski so worth it then. Red October i love in the Ryan-verse. Think I saw and enjoyed the other two you liked and had the same reaction to the others. Do you think it helps to recall them? Or just because you’re hankering for some more Jack Ryan?DancesWithWerewolves wrote:So far. Only started on episode 3 now. I've been waiting to see it on TCM so I could rewatch it.Headhunter wrote:One of the best.Tiggnutz wrote:Double Indemnity
Re: What are you watching?
In the commercials, he looks more like Jason Bourne than Jack Ryan, which was a turn off. Ryan is an analyst, not a field agent. Are the commercials misleading?DancesWithWerewolves wrote:So far. Re: What are you watching?
They have him doing both. He's still stuck in the situations because he's got his "always right" talent rolling. He's even only pulled on the field because of his correct guesswork, at first by surprise but then wants to finish the job.Monster wrote:In the commercials, he looks more like Jason Bourne than Jack Ryan, which was a turn off. Re: What are you watching?
Bourne never did it for me, at all. Just a block of wood character.
