How democratic. Let's undermine winners of elections when they try to execute the policies they campaigned on...

No issues with that? Really?
Trump has the mental capacity of a 12 year old and cannot be trusted without adult supervision. That's never been the case for a president in my lifetime. A coup would be a great thing for the country and for the world.
Yeah, groups of insiders overthrowing the will of the people would be so great!

How hard do you have to close your eyes to realize we are safer and more prosperous than we have been in a long time? Hear much about ISIS lately? North Korea is heading towards denuclearization. Everyone who wants a job has one. Investments have done well.

Want to know how great things are going? We actually worry about rich idiots in hollywood taking advantage of each other, because we have to invent problems.

Going down a layer, if McCain or Romney win, the make-up of the FBI, state department, pentagon, etc. would again largely be left intact with very similar policy. McCain, Clinton, Romney, Obama...tell me substantial differences that would have occurred in their respective foreign policies.

Now, suddenly you put an outsider in who gives no shits and doesn't need their money or influence, and it is a HUGE problem for them all.
The problem with the nightmare scenario you laid out is it was actually a dream scenario compared to the Trump administration. He's ruined any chance future outsiders will have of breaking into Washington.

Bernie is a beta in that he took it in the bum, cashed his check, put it into his socialist bank account and kept quiet despite supposedly running against everything Hillary stood for. He was just as crooked, imo.
He simply recognized Hillary was a better option than a moron whose aides have to hide documents from him. Pragmatism >>> taking L's for "ideology".
So Bernie realized he and his crew were idiots so they took the dive?
No, he realized he was not going to be the candidate and the opposing candidate was Donald Trump, problematic for his platform in that it means a more conservative government as well as Trump just generally being a fool. Not every choice entails a great option, but you opt for the result that leaves you in a better position. Pretty simple stuff.
Homeboi got screwed by the DNC. lol. "I'll just back down and let Hillary lose instead" is just so brilliant, and definitely how that whole ordeal went down. lol.
Who cares? You have two options and the only smart one is to back the candidate who will be more helpful to your ambitions. Yeah, he definitely should have abandoned Hillary, handed the election directly to Trump, and be permanently ousted from any shot of being a big player in Washington politics ever again. Do you really not get how stupid that would be?
Hillary was the polar-opposite of Bernie. You don't back someone who does everything you supposedly stand against.

The short answer is: Bernie was a complete and total fraud.

You said the only smart thing for Bernie to do would be to back the person with better ambitions. Hillary ambitions =/= Bernie ambitions. At least if you judge him on the platform he ran on. Behind the curtains, he was a fraud.

Weird seeing so many people justify their own off-the-wall theories because they think Trump is a meanie pants.

I didn't say they were the same, I said they were closer in proximity. Also, you know, the whole thing with Bernie committing political suicide if he doesn't back Hillary.

You need to quit being so naive. They are politicians looking for the best opportunities to fulfill their individual goals, like any people would. They are not going to throw away their careers to make a point. That's thinking like a child.

Uh, no, he's still a player. He's old as fuck so another presidential run might not be in the cards but he's still in the game and if he doesn't back Hillary, he's shut out of the game. Again, you are so naive.

The left definitely has more respect for government than the right, in a basic ideological sense. I don't know what "all of a sudden" is supposed to draw attention to, probably just nonsense.

A big part of the reason #WalkAway is happening is because of the shit that went down with the DNC screwing Bernie. Bernie being a beta and taking it up the bum is less than heroic.

All of a sudden, as in, both liberals and Conservatives always had gripes with career politicians, yet, here we are with a non-career politician in office and the left is now wanting big government and career politicians.

The left = The party of hypocrites.

Peace and prosperity suck, right?

What chance did outsiders have before him? In 200 years, we had one with an outside shot in Ross Perot. Another one of America's richest men with the resolve to take it to the finish, and he was dominated by both Clinton and Bush. Trump deployed a brilliant strategy combined with the greatest will to win we have ever seen in a president.

More importantly, he's still in the game. He was finished in Washington if he tries to make a stand (a stand that offered absolutely no upside).

It's not a beta move to not aspire to be a failed martyr, it's smart.

What is socialism?
Socialism
noun
A political ideology that is used to screw the general public, making everyone equally poor while the powerful elite takes the monies

A realistic definition, anyway. :)

I'm convinced a lot of these things are just buzz words you've trained yourself to not like, with no real thought beyond that. "Left", "liberal", "socialist" etc. have no discernible meaning when you use them.

That question doesn't even make sense. Your confusion about what "in practice" means is also mind-blowing.
