That's your issue. You base your expectations on what the NFL media tells you to base your expectations on. He is more than a high level backup, I saw that his rookie year, and he excelled to expectations that met what I had for him, not what the media had for him. Nobody was talking about Drew Brees in 2005 but me. In 2006 I predicted he would end his career regarded as a top ten QB of all time.

You have no room for bold predictions, because you go wherever the media wind takes you. I only take credit for predictions that come true where nobody but me predicted. You love to shit on it constantly, so I have no choice but to rub it in.
"The media, the media!"

I don't make predictions for the sake of being "bold". I evaluate players, some I don't like and some I do. There are plenty of late round picks who have panned out that I was much higher on than the league was, I don't really feel the need to get in everyone's grill about it. It's kinda weird to do so.

The issue is there's nothing to rub in but you do it anyway. Your calling card is pimping a backup quarterback. If you had any self-awareness, you wouldn't bring that up at all.

Precisely. I never once slammed you for your Rahim Moore praise, so there's no reason to be in defensive mode because I've never slammed any player praise you've had. You're constantly in my grill about players I like, particularly Siemian as of late. I will forever maintain that he'd be a Cousins-level starter if he ever gets a chance behind an offensive line that allows him more than one second to get in a 5-step drop. You think he's as bad as Paxton and constantly remind me of it. So I've got no choice but to point out my success rate in evaluating talent. *shrug

I mean, Rahim Moore was a solid starter on some really good defenses from 2012-2014. Those teams were rarely beat over the top. I never harbored any delusions about him being amazing but he did a fine job. "The media" (sarcastic voice) may only remember the Jacoby Jones play though. That's your example?

Hard to evaluate your oversll success rate when you've pretty much foxholed yourself into just regurgitating the same cycle of bad QB praise. Nick Foles, Trevor Siemian, Ryan Fitzpatrick. Crickets when they're awful, begs for pats on the back when they shit out an occasional good game.

And hey, if you want to fire off an endless series of bad takes, we all have plenty. But you beg to be laughed at with the way you present those takes, the in-your-face "me vs. the world" nature of it all is just corny. And no, most of it isn't prompted by anything we say, it's usually you looking for validation. But you're always championing a parade of losers and scrubs, it feels like a parody at times.

Moore fell off the map pretty quickly as a solid safety.

Don't forget Drew Brees and Matt Cassel. And how do you think I view Foles/Fitz/Siemian? Do you think I'm calling them GOAT or something? All I ever say about Fitzy is he is much better than anyone gives him credit for. Same with Siemian. And now people probably think more highly of Foles than I do, ironically.

He did, but he put in three very good years on some contending Broncos teams, that's better than the majority of Day 2 draft picks.

Matt Cassel is terrible. What about Drew Brees? He was damn good in 2004-2005, the biggest concern when he was a free agent was the shoulder, not his ability. You think all those guys are solid starters and none of them are good enough to be starters.

Nobody thought Cassel was terrible in 2008. Nobody was talking about Brees as a top ten QB in the NFL at the time, I predicted he'd be top ten ALL time.
Nick Foles is good enough to be a starter. To suggest otherwise is lunacy after what he's proven he can do. Siemian behind one of the worst offensive lines in history made more miraculous plays that should've never happened in one season than I've ever seen. Imagine him behind a good o-line. Solid starter, at least. Fitzy has played on a team of bums and bum coaching staffs his entire career and still monsters out at least a couple times a year. Solid starter.

Uh, most people thought Cassel wasn't any good in 2008. That New England team was absolutely loaded with talent (that they then purged the following year) and beat up on two historically bad divisions (AFC West and NFC West) on their way to missing the playoffs. Remember that you live in a delusional one person bubble where Brady isn't a great QB, the rest of us saw what a huge downgrade it was.

Most people did view Brees as a top 10 QB at the time, the concern was the shoulder.

Foles already blew his chances to be a starter. Just so much hyperbole about Siemian and his situation in one sentence, I'll concede that he regressed from a bottom 10 starter to the worst starter in football from 2016 to 2017 though. Fitzpatrick straight up sucks. It was hilarious when the Jets paid him a couple years ago. He is a Pennington arm with Cutler-level confidence. His "good stretches" come when his ducks aren't getting snagged by defenders at an expected rate. He is always among the leaders in turnover-worthy plays.

Uhh, that's horse shit. Everyone and their mother thought Cassel was the next coming of Christ. I don't remember the HMF consensus, but I knew that dude was just driving a ferrari. He played exactly like Brady the entire year. Weird how you seem to think nobody thought he was any good.

If people saw Brees as a top 10 QB in 2005, it was barely cracking it. Manning, Palmer, McNabb, Plummer, Hasselbeck and Bulger were definitely thought of as higher caliber QBs. Sandy Eggo fans were torn on whether or not they wanted Rivers to take over.

This is what I was talking about earlier regarding stat-padding, etc... People would criticize Fitzy of folding in the clutch, but when you're down 14 points with 8 minutes to go in the 4th quarter, you're gonna have to try to thread into double coverage for throws that you normally wouldn't throw into. This should never be a knock on the quarterback, and this is why statistics have no bearing on how talented a QB is. Fitzy is the modern day Vinny Testaverde.

Nobody thought Cassel was a great quarterback, considering the talent around him he was actually pretty bad. Brady's worst seasons are legendary compared to that mess of a season. That Pats team was just as good as the 2007 version and with their joke of a schedule, they win 13-14 games and definitely never get blown out on multiple occasions. And pretty much everyone thought KC's trade for him was a disaster from the get go. This is a hilarious hill to die on.

LMAO, Jake fucking Plummer? Get the fuck out of here.

Uh, Fitzpatrick throws awful picks in any and all situations. They're not exclusive to coming back from deficits created by his shitty play.

It's also very apparent that that list of guys "definitely thought of" as higher caliber QBs is just your own list since it doesn't include Brady, who was considered at the very least a top 5 QB at the time, with most only ranking Peyton ahead of him. You hate him so much, you can't even write his name while trying to feign impersonal objectivity in an argument. And then you try to sneak Plummer on there. What are you doing?

I really like Cincy to make the playoffs this year. I honestly wouldn't be shocked if the Steelers are the third best team in the division.

They've drafted so well.

Ravens are also a lot different on the road. At home they're terrifying

Everyone and their mother was talking about what a big pay day Cassel deserves if he leaves New England. And he got one, and lol. Just because you can drive a ferrari faster than Jeff Gordon can drive a Prius, it doesn't mean you're a better driver than Jeff Gordon.

Yeah. He had one of the highest passer ratings in the NFL that year. I'm sorry you have short-term memory, but Plummer was regarded as a top 10 NFL QB in that era.

I've watched most of his games, in full, since he was a Buffalo Bill. In Tennessee especially, he was forced into gunslinging into double coverage. Kansas City, San Francisco, Jacksonville, and Indy were the result of a terrible defense and forcing Fitz to play from behind. Houston and New York were much of the same. Watch the games before making generalizations.

That Pats team was just as good as the 2007 version and with their joke of a schedule, they win 13-14 games and definitely never get blown out on multiple occasions. And pretty much everyone thought KC's trade for him was a disaster from the get go. This is a hilarious hill to die on.

"Everyone and their mother" (not many people in this case) had no idea what they were watching then. Cassel wasn't good. They couldn't score 20 in half their games after scoring at least 20 in every game the year prior. His limitations hurt what was the best offense the NFL had seen up to that point. IF you can't make the distinction between the 2007 and 2008 offenses, that's pretty bad.

I don't have short memory, it's just hilarious to think that one year where he just didn't turn the ball over constitutes putting him on this list, especially when you omit Brady who was considered by most to be the 2nd best in the game. Nobody was surprised when Plummer reverted to his normal self against the Steelers.

You watch every Fitzpatrick game? Jesus Christ, why do you torture yourself? Aren't there less excruciating ways to spend your life?

Also, why are you just listing random cities in your argument when Fitzpatrick has started about 7 seasons worth of games? What am I supposed to do with that? If you are like Rain Man with Fitzpatrick games, great, but nobody else is.
