Of the 90 movies, 40 are going to be from my IMDb WatchList (all-new movies I want to see), 20 are going to be rewatches, 15 are going to be random completely random flicks, 10 are going to be movies I have saved on my DVR, and 5 are going to be exclusively from NetFlex or Shudder.
Jiggy how can i learn to be as disciplined as you!!! *bows down to you*

I had to look up for a reminder at how many movies I racked in last year. 143. Damn. Not sure if I'll hit that again.

This may be crap, but Peter Jason is putting way more effort than needed in this chunk of shit. Kudos to him though.

These are the two dumbest broads i've seen in awhile. You have a running car, you didn't hit anything to cause the car to break down. I mean, two dangling feet barely touched the windshield, it didn't stall the engine. Why get out and run back to the mausoleum piled with dead bodies?

I'm actually enjoying this one so far. I was pretty sick of zombie movies for a while, but I like the fresh take on this one.

I prepare somewhat obsessively beforehand. I generally know how many movies I'm aiming for, and then set a schedule for the month (when I'm going to sleep, when I'm waking up, how many movies I can get in on a specific day, etc.), along with finding streaming links for every movie I'm watching in the month (some of these links will be dead by the time I get there, but it's still a good practice).

In previous years, I even mathematically calculated how many movies I could theoretically get in the month and went from there. Since I'm writing reviews for each movie this month, though, and that's not something I've done before, I have to set my expectations lower.

I certainly appreciate your kind words. A lot of it is, as you say, just discipline. Following a schedule as best as possible, watching movies, so on and so forth. :)

All of that said, pixie, you have to find out what works best for you.

I've been preparing like this before October for almost every challenge besides 2009 (my first one). A lot of it comes from the fact I'm somewhat OCD when it comes to horror (I maintain a list of every horror film I watch, I consistently check IMDb for any interesting-looking films, I have a want to see list of over 600 movies I keep an eye out for, etc.), and I'd suspect that to many, I'm too choreographed when it comes to October ("You know all the movies you'll be watching already? Where's the fun or surprise?") which is why it's important to find out what works for you.

So, I don't work today like I usually do (my boss is cutting hours like a motha), so instead of three movies, I'm personally aiming for four or five. That way, I can relax a little toward the end as I still intend only to reach 90.

About to finish Sy-Fy original film Stickman (2017). It's actually one of the better Sy-Fy originals I've seen in some time. Some hideous CGI, and more than a few cliches, but not horrible.

An 80's favorite of mine. Nowhere near as good as My Bloody Valentine (which is perhaps my favorite slasher of the 1980's), but along with movies such as Hide and Go Shriek, Slaughter High, and C.H.U.D., it's one of those films that I've seen and enjoyed many times before.
