I'm guessing the film I saw last year, Embrace the Darkness (1999), was a rip-off of this one. Both heavily drama vampire love/rape stories.

This naive girl just took an open drink from a guy at a party, though - her friend really needs to be watching her, as that is not at all safe.
Alyssa's nudity in Embrace of the Vampire is among the best, imo.
May be true, but the movie itself isn't doing the nudity any favors.
I really don't care about the rest of the movie :P

And probably not even good skin, a bunch of bad boob jobs seem to be Adam Green's MO.

I ended up really liking Delusion (1981). I know I've only seen twenty films thus far, but this is a top five for sure right now.

Turns out there are TWO movies called Malevolent that came out in 2018. I'm watching the Netflix Original, not the Shatner one.

Malevolent doesn't even know what kind of movie it wants to be. Starts off wanting to be a haunted house/paranormal investigation movie, but then tries to pull a Slaughter Film twist ala Texas Chainsaw Massacre...but doesn't earn any of because it approaches it with the snail snoozer pace of a British Soap Opera. Could easily be remade and a more competent director could make this a more interesting watch, rather than probably just letting the camera roll waiting for tea time.
