Oh, this is the same director that did the original The Strangers.

This is outstanding. Great atmosphere and an all-star cast of classic horror icons.Tiggnutz wrote:First viewing of "The Black Sleep"

Wasn't expecting this one to be as good as it was. So glad it didnt' go the pretentious bullshit route of Babadook, the monster was fucking real, and the drama with the parent and child was done well.

Taking a break from new watches with Amityville Horror II: The Posession. Think that was the longest I went with new watches.

Interesting, there's going to be a new telling of the DeFeo murders in The Amityville Murders, and it's coming out next week. Diane Franklin, who plays the oldest sister in II, is playing the mother Louise DeFeo.

Not a bad movie, just a little disappointed by the reveal/twist (or whatever you wanna call it)Monster wrote:Alice, Sweet Alice

Grady/Robert Russler is in Amityville Horror: The Next Generation? Epic.

For those that can get your hands on it, check out Deadly Blessing. Can't say too much without revealing it, but it's early Wes Craven and it has a bathtub scene that is very similar to the one in Nightmare on Elm Street. And Sharon Stone is in it. And it's 80s. And there's no way anybody gives it a 1 or 2/10 or an F grade like I've been seeing in half the reviews of this thread.
At worst, it will be decent.

Sara from Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter is in this one (Amityville: The New Begninning), along with David Naughton, Terry O Quinn, Richard Roundtree, Lyn Shaye, and the Hitchhiker from Creepshow 2. Oh, and Co from First Blood Part 2 as well, lol. She's pretty hot in nothing but overalls.

I watched it a few nights ago. I gave it a B-. However, I've seen the movie a lot, as we taped it off of Showtime back in the early to mid 80s. But it's been 25+ years since I last watched it. Decent flick.Jason wrote:For those that can get your hands on it, check out Deadly Blessing.
