Just no predicting how the season will turn out when doing the scheduling. Denver got some new talent, and are usually a prime time treat. Gruden in Oakland was enticing before Oakland went back to being Oakland, and nobody anticipated Janeane Garofalo being out for the year.

They're just trying to hard to involve every team on a Thursday game. So 80% of the time it's not going to be exciting.
