There are some decent documentaries. History channel shows Apocalypse: World War 1 occasionally. That's a good miniseries.

It's also the biggest turning point in modern history IMO, as the Old World (monarchies and empires) necessarily becomes the New World (democracy and globalism). Significant pit stops at Fascism and Communism along the way, but that just shows how ugly that transition could be.
Not removing until John Elway is fired.

I'd agree. Globally WWII seemingly gets all the attention, and then here in the US Vietnam, Civil etc. but I've always been more fascinated/entrenched by WWI. Definitely a few good movies made about it, but nothing like some others and still without it's "Saving Private Ryan" or what have you.

And being at that time where mechanisms/machinery were getting sophisticated, and the chemical warfare, and there was no resemblance of civility established like in some other wars. Using mustard gas and shit.
