BALTIMORE —
A 5-year-old girl was shot Monday night in west Baltimore, city police said. She is the sister of Taylor Hayes, a 7-year-old girl who was shot and killed while sitting in a car in July, her mother confirmed in a Facebook post.

City police said officers were called at 6:21 p.m. to Shock Trauma, where a girl was taken with a gunshot wound to her groin. She was immediately taken into surgery, alert and able to talk to doctors, police said.
Around 9 p.m., police said the girl was out of surgery and is expected to survive.

Police said residents in the 1000 block of McKean Avenue heard several gunshots and saw a child laying in the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound. A resident picked the girl up and took her to a hospital.

Police said investigators believe the girl was caught in the middle of a shootout involving suspects in a car and suspects on foot.

The story doesn't answer or ask why a 5 year old was outside by herself at night. You would think if you just lost a child to gun violence a few months earlier you would keep track of your other kids but I guess not in the Sewer of Baltimore.

The unpredictable nature of edibles is what I have the biggest issue with. As you said, sometimes they do nothing. Other times, it's way too much to the point where the high isn't even enjoyable. When you smoke, so long as you have some idea how strong the shit is, you control the experience. With edibles? You're along for the ride, wherever it takes you (if it takes you anywhere). Fuck that.

When i was younger me and my friends made a batch of pot brownies to take on vacation with us.I had tried edibles in Amsterdam and thought it would be easy to duplicate.Being morons we just dumped a half ounce of kind bud into some brownie mix and had my girlfriend bake them. I lost a whole day of vacation becuase i couldnt get out of bed it was one of the most fucked up ive ever been. I could hear my friends suffering like i was in other parts of the condo we were staying at. I was sure i had poisoned myself.

Evidently I ate more than I was expected to. When I mentioned to these friends I ate 3 cookies before I realized these weren't regular cookies, their response was "OMG Are you okay!?!?!" lol. They homemade them.

Could be. Though, to get to that level of high, I'd much rather go through an edible than hacking up my throat and lungs for a mild tingle. It's something I would do at the start of an intended lazy weekend.

Maybe it's the homemade aspect I'm missing, but the shit from the shops, I tried the gamut of Drinks, Cookies, Brownies, Gummy Bears, didn't do jack. So one Saturday I said fuck it and downed a whole drink and a whole bag of cookies, like over $50 worth of shit, and only then after waiting like 2 hours I was like "enh, maybe I got a little buzz... Fuck it, bring on the whiskey". They can keep that shit until there is some reliability to it.
