Woah, just read up on the last one. They turned Wonder Woman into a total thot skank that not only fucks Aquaman, but then murders Mera and gives him literal head as a gift.Foo wrote:Just feels like they would not want the scrutiny of dealing with marketing an animated flick with such violence and dark themes. Batman shooting a supervillain in the head from behind, Joker raping Batgirl, Wonder Woman decapitating Aquaman's wife, etc...zombie wrote:possibly. it also limits them, in terms of where and how they're gonna be released. if a traditional animated flick played well, theatrically, again. that would change things though, probably.Foo wrote:A commercial for that is what made me think of it, but I really don't want the pressure of them being $100M CGI spectacles. I feel like the DC movies have been so good because the lower budget of traditional animation allows them to take risks and not appeal to everyone.zombie wrote:if the spiderverse thing works out for sony, maybe it will give dc the push to start theatrical animated films too, and marvel as well potentially.
I can get on board with this stuff.

2018 horror movie of the day will be What Happens in the Mountains - Should Stay in the Mountains (found on Amazon Prime).
Also plan on watching The Rogues' Tavern (1936) for the second time and The Black Sleep (1956) for the first time (Tigg recommended that one to me).

Welp. Just got home from work. Gotta be up in 7 hours to go to work. Still need to go to the gym, eat and shower.
What a life.

I don't miss construction. *finally gets home from physical construction labor just in time for a late dinner and bed* "Gee, why don't you work on your portfolio?"Jason wrote:Welp. Just got home from work. Gotta be up in 7 hours to go to work. Still need to go to the gym, eat and shower.

Re: December 11th 2018
Gotta go to a safety meeting early. The shitty thing is I have to be up two hours earlier than normal because the safety meeting is being held at a different plant than the one I work out of. The one I work out of is nearly an hour drive from my house. I got hired two years ago to work out of the plant down the street from my house but it changed before I ever got my work truck and I've been stuck with a 2 hour round trip commute every day. I have to be up two hours earlier than normal, just to drive my exhausted ass all the way to my own plant to pick up my cement truck, THEN take the cement truck to the safety meeting down the street from my house. And I am a truck driver. You'd think having to call at/after 7PM every night to see what time you work only to find out you have to be up in 6 hours from that exact moment would be unwise, considering I'll be driving an 80,000 pound cement truck for 12 hours. They think we are robots, but even robots need to charge their battery. I still need to shower. Skip dinner and go to bed. Some people might think the pay is worth it (barely a living wage), but I've grown to value time more than money as of late.

Time to make a change? Possibly a good choice if you’re feeling this badly
