It might be only 8, idk, so I could be getting screwed. You also get more than 10 holidays because you get all the bullshit ones like Columbu... Indigenous People's Day and shit.Tiggnutz wrote:Sick Days WTF I ain't get no sick days :xReign in Blood wrote:I get 4 weeks vacation/PTO (5 after 15 years), 8 Holidays, and I think accrue 10 sick days a year.

Yeah, technically all I have to do is step foot on the property, fire up the ol' e-mail and then leave and I get paid. The guideline is work 4 hours but technically no. Now if your boss feels you abuse this he can shitcan you of course, but some people do.Tiggnutz wrote:I will tell you something shitty. People who are salary not hourly where I work get unlimited time off they just have some bullshit percentage of time they are supposed to be at work it equals like 6 1/2 weeks they can miss. It's more of a guideline and not a rule and 90% of people abuse that shit. Makes me want to puke :x

Its completely unfair. Now they never close for bad weather they make us hourly people spend the PTO to avoid dying when staying home makes no difference to them.Reign in Blood wrote:Yeah, technically all I have to do is step foot on the property, fire up the ol' e-mail and then leave and I get paid. I don't. I've done it twice, one was an emergency and the other a semi-emergency where I would have taken the day off but came in for an hour to help a brother out then bailed. You lack discipline!Tiggnutz wrote:Of course I would do the same :xJigsaw wrote:I would recommend being angry at the system, not your fellow workers. Re: December 13th 2018
Because TOIL is earned on a 1:2 basis. So I got 27.5 extra days, but that’s because I worked in excess of 55 days worth of extra time. So not just free stuff.

Re: December 13th 2018
I'd love to have the extra days off, but the shit for wages makes it where that's just not affordable.
Re: December 13th 2018
I would rather get more pay than benefits they value as pay. Never had a job where someone was telling you how much you make and how much time you get off really. When I have done different things, it always just occurred to others at some point that I don't take days off.

Great, my internet is constantly going the fuck out AGAIN. God the internet sucks here.
They're supposedly sending an "Advanced" router that's supposed to be more stable. We'll see how that goes. Ugh.

Yeah, calling my stepfather to help put in the new one and being the most obnoxious troll in the world to the manufacturer of the water heater. :pDancesWithWerewolves wrote:Ooof. Re: December 13th 2018
So I started to get pissy with the warranty people about the water heater and "Destiny" my first tech support person wanted to send someone out to verify it had burst. She started lying about the process and I started saying she was discriminating. She hung up on me.
I call back, talk to a nice guy and he gives me an authorization code for a new one in 3 minutes.
The first person was going to have me either not have water for a week, or go spend $600 on a unit that they would not refund. Assholes.

I am also out about 150 bucks over an iPod and battery.
It all started when I bought a new iPod a month or two ago. Transferred all 2,600+ songs to the new one. The new one I bought seems to have a bum battery. So I buy a replacement one for 15 bucks on eBay. Figure I can take it apart, no big deal. The youtube tutorial is simple looking enough. Turns out it if you breathe hard enough you will break everything in the iPod. The youtube tutorial was severely misleading. The dude took everything apart with ease, but two steps into my own process of taking it apart, it is clear that the iPod this motherfucker was working with has clearly been taken apart before. There was no adhesive he had to delicately work through without ripping something. I got about 60% into the replacement only to find out that I am in even more deep shit because reassembling the motherfucker was going to need 10 miracles. I can't believe I even got all the way through the process of removing all the adhesive that's holding together the iPod, removing all the tiny screws, disassembling all the tiny little connectors to the motherboard and shit without ripping the little strips and ruining the iPod. I get the whole thing taken apart, only to find out that the god damn battery I got didn't seem to even fucking match the one I took out of my iPod. The moment I attempted to reassemble it, one of the connectors ripped like nothing. To put that into perspective, imagine ripping a regular piece of paper, now imagine it being 100x easier to rip that piece of paper. That is how delicate everything in these iPods are... I've been sitting here for about 45 minutes convincing myself it's not worth it to go around punching every wall in my house. Not sure I've ever been more frustrated in my life.
Bought another new iPod. Never fucking taking anything apart again.
