I am so. fucking. sick. of working. fucking. Saturdays. And I am almost more annoyed that I have to wait until late fucking Friday night to find out. I get so uncharacteristically pissed off about this. Every god damn Friday, all day, waiting waiting waiting for the schedule update. Imagine never knowing what day you have to work, or what time in the morning you have to get up until around 7PM every night.

What really peeves me is I have to drive an hour out of town to work and an hour back, only to work long enough that half the money I make is just gonna be used on the gas it took me to get there and back. Just a complete and total waste of another day out of my life, and of course it's a fucking Saturday, and a Friday night because now I have to go to jump into fucking bed. I need to be sane.

Yeesh. At least my construction days usually had Saturdays off.

Obviously. Situation does blow, being held hostage every Friday night for your Saturday. Do these nitwits not know you're a sports fan?!

I don't know, but it's annoying. I had to request an "off-early" yesterday for a physical therapy session. Gonna need next Friday off entirely because of an endoscopy to make sure my esophagus is doing well. I didn't talk to anyone in charge of scheduling, only the plant manager in my area who forwards them everyone's day off requests. Apparently it's like pulling teeth now. I guess the days I needed off are inconvenient for the company... Bitch, I'm not asking to get paid a dime for missing these days. And it's not like there's a shortage of drivers. A shit load of people call off all the time. They give like 75% of drivers Saturdays off because of seniority and then mention my medical procedure is an inconvenience for them? I get these drivers have been here longer than me, but Jesus fuck, maybe stop saying "yes" to all the retards that want to pour concrete in a rainy, windy sandstorm on a Saturday? Idiots.

I'm grateful for the job, but there's no question they've done me dirty.
