Haven't gotten around to Wick 2, yet. Jack Reacher 2 was pretty good, but the first one blows it out of the water. 2nd just wasn't as impactful or in-depth with a brilliant story. Still really enjoyable, though. Especially considering it threw shade at libs. :D

The first one completely blew me away. I only went because my favorite car of all time was in it and Tom Cruise had some pretty great stuff. Ended up actually becoming one of my all time favorite movies. One of the most badass movies ever. Brilliant. I'm looking forward to it becoming a James Bond-esque franchise, but I'm not holding my breath on any movie being as good as the first.

Have you heard any news about a third movie? I'm praying for one.

No, but I'm willing to bet they'll do one if Cruise is still on board. He's not getting any younger, though. He's got one left in him, maybe two at best. Not sure if they'll end with him or if they get someone younger.

I know he got the ball rolling on the Never Go Back. He'll likely have to do so again for another. So I'm not sure there'd be one with another actor.

MX was talking about John Wick, no one gives a flying fuck about Reacher. After all his meddling and the Mummy tanked, Cruise isn't going to get a job bagging groceries, let alone another installment in your failed franchise. Never Go Back? More like Never Go in the First Place.

Why do you always feel so threatened by Jack Reacher? :p

Not at all, because they will never make another one. It will fade into obscurity outside of you name dropping it once every 6 months.

I'm with Reign here. Reacher isn't becoming a thing any time soon. It just isn't.

They're currently looking at Lee Child's "Tripwire" to be the third film in the Jack Reacher franchise. lol.

In case you didn't know, Jack Reacher is a world famous character in a series of books written by Lee Child. This is why the movies are being made, and that's why it is drawing a Bond comparison.

But it's not James Bond. It's a shoddy version of it. And now it's just a vehicle for Tom Cruise to run on camera in.

He rocks it pretty nicely. First movie is the best movie he's ever done, imo. But he is definitely a beneficiary of grade-A writing, so take that how you will.

Tom Cruise is pretty bad as an actor. Could be I'm jaded by the Mummy. But it shows his deficiencies.

He's a weirdo, but he's rocked some solid roles, for sure.
