Baltimore Police Investigating After Man Attacked By ‘Squeegee Kids’

BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) — Baltimore City Police are investigating after a man and his wife say they were assaulted by several of Baltimore’s so called “squeegee kids.”

Jon Coles said he and his wife were with their children stopped at a red light at Light and Lombard streets on Friday evening when they were approached by a group of the “squeegee kids.”

Coles said he asked them to move past his car, when his vehicle was hit by a squeegee. He then exited his vehicle at which point he was attacked by several of the squeegee kids, who he said hit him in the face and in the back of the head and threw their squeegee supplies.

The victim said he then used pepper spray to stop them from attacking him while his wife and children were still in the car.

Coles provided WJZ with a copy of the police report that shows he was a victim of aggravated assault.
Coles then drove to city hall where he spoke with the mayor about the attack.

Mayor Catherine Pugh provided the following statement about this incident:


“We will not tolerate clear criminal behavior by those who not only impede traffic at our major intersections but who threaten residents and visitors to our City. We have no more urgent priority than making it possible for everyone to feel safe in our city. This latest situation is outrageous and unacceptable in every sense. Our police are working to make sure they are held accountable. At the same time, we will be communicating accelerated efforts to deal with this threat to public safety and the smooth flow of traffic in our major corridors.”

City Police are still investigating and have not yet notified WJZ of any potential arrests from this incident.


This is actually city condoned extortion by teens and mostly men who steal squeegees from gas stations than demand money while cars are stopped at red lights or else they fuck your car and sometimes you up.Everyone in the city knows this and has been a victim of it. Last year the mayor spent 2 million dollars of tax payer money to help the squeegee kids out so maybe they will stop extorting people. Just burn the city to the ground and start over

A few months ago my parents were driving home and there were some mexican dudes between like 30 and 40 riding bicycles. They were riding all over the street in both lanes, then they rode up in front of my Mom's car forcing her to stop. While the one guy was in front of her preventing her from leaving, another dude rode in behind her so she couldn't back away. Two other dudes went to each window, one to the passenger's side where my Dad was and the other to the driver's side. The dude said "MOVE OVER, BITCH". Meanwhile, the dude on my Dad's side was trying to open the locked door. My Dad was also trying to open it so we wasn't some sitting duck, but the dude in front of the car moved to my Mom's side to try to open her door, then she gunned it home. Told me that if he hadn't moved at that moment she probably would've had no choice but to run him over. Wish she would've done it anyway. I got on my Harley and rode over to the area they said it happened to see if I could stake the fuckers out. They were only a few blocks from home when it happened, so I was worried maybe the mexican dudes knew where my parents lived.

I have lost patience with humanity. If the story ended with my parents telling me that some random pedestrian came and shot all four of them dead, I would've danced a jig and threw a party at the scene where they were killed. People like that really should be killed. Who knows what they were gonna do if the doors weren't locked, or if my Dad had got out of the car.

Than when one of those fools gets run over or blasted the scum come out from underneath their rocks to say it was your fault and you are a bad person. Same thing here.
