This would be fantastic except for the loss of Harold Ramis. I saw the original and Gremlins back to back at the theater when I was a kid it was a Great day.

From what I've read, no one's signed on, but it is a direct sequel to the originals. According to Jason Reitman(the writer/director), there will be new people, so it's likely a passing of the torch type thing.

Essentially what we should've gotten. I caught about 15 minutes of that remake, and it was pretty fucking bad. It felt closer to those live action Scooby Doo movies than Ghostbusters.
