You can't sweep away that it's a Bond film that does matter is it sub par but it is part of a legacy. Every film has something that makes it worthy of a watch.

Well, I was gonna give the rest of the Bond flicks a go, but with Headward's shitfest here, now I'm not gonna. That and Quantum of Solace.

I don't know, I can tolerate some pretty bad horror films, because it's a genre I love, but a shitty action or sci-fi film that I couldn't give a crap about, it seems fair to bash. :D
For my thoughts on the horror films I've seen, please look here: https://jigsawshorrorcorner.wordpress.com/

Start at Dr. No and if you don't want to watch anymore than that's up to you but at least give Dr. No a try

Seen it. Thought it was better when it starred Tom Cruise.

I'm not even necessarily opposed to the idea, but I think we all know how bad my track record is for that type of thing. :p

That said, it is something I think would be somewhat fun, but thinking about the horror movies I couldn't watch because I'm focused on the Bond films sort of hurts.
Nothing like trying a new food can you dig it
No need for new food if I'm already pleased by the menu. ;)

That said, it has been on my mind, so we'll see what happens.
Maybe we should try it with a horror series, then.
No everyone should know the joy of James muthafuckin Bond in their lifetime
In which I'm sure he does. Does one really need to see every fuckin one?
Having gone through them all recently, no, no he does not :P

Unless he wants to be a committed die hard Bond fan.

this feels weird to me. why do you love horror, in the first place? is it not because of love of a lot of the films? love of a genre is not going to keep me going with an individual film if it actually sucks. :P

I love horror cause it's bitchin'

I'm sorry, I'm not understanding your point. Love of a genre (horror) is not going to keep you going with individual films if they suck? I'm perhaps not reading this right, but I don't get it.

you said you would tolerate a bad film because it's horror. i don't get the mindset, even when horror is awesome as a genre.

Why do the Bondies keep going with those films even though some suck?

I agree with what Jiggy is saying but not for the reasons he's saying it. A bad horror movie can be enjoyable for reasons other genres just can't. I don't even evaluate them on the same scale really.

i think that a film series is different than a genre of film, personally. love of character(s) can go a long way, as an example. you don't really have that between separate films in a genre.

also, keep in mind, what sucks to you may not suck to someone else.

Can apply to action movies too, but bad is only good if heavy on the cheese. Bad while taking itself seriously is just gross.
