I dug Wonder Woman. Chris Pine is the only one who annoyed me in that movie. Isn't it ironic, don't ya think?
good to hear. although i don't recall anything offensive about pine in the film. do you like him in general though?
Nah, I've just never been a fan of his.
Spoilers
It's like raaaa-eeeeeee-aaaaaain on your weddiiiiiiing dayyy
unless this some kind of weird "guys have to stick together" thing, i think it's more than fair to not find chris pine to work for you, as an actor. :P
Chris Pine just doesn't do it for me, so how could it be a guys-have-to-stick-together thing? How in the hell do you interpret my view of modern day feminism is what I want to know...

you kept on with the ironic thing, so i didn't know what you were getting at. sorry.

tell me what your view is of modern feminism, if you like. you've mentioned ww as having liberal bias, but that was before you'd actually seen it, if i recall. so things seem to have changed.

Don't think I ever said that about Wonder Woman. Definitely said that about Atomic Blonde, though.

Wonder Woman did a great job of inspiring young girls without subtle jabs painting white males out to be the root of all evil. No politics involved, and Gal Gadot is a good representative of Wonder Woman, on or off camera.

There was a time when the feminist motto was "I am woman, hear me roar!", now it's "I am woman, I earn less than men... who are all terrible scumbag pigs, btw."

you definitely went a lot more heavily on atomic blonde, with the silly video of the "change my mind" guy bitching. (i'm blanking on his name right now) but there was a little bit at wonder woman too. but like i said that seems to have changed with seeing the film.

yeah, there are a lot of vocal feminists who are anti-male. that kind of shit sucks.

That was a fun, tongue-in-cheek video that highlights how goof-ily unrealistic that movie is.

The only thing negative I may have said about Wonder Woman as far as feminism goes is that they are capitalizing on a strong female lead while people whine about this phony inequality for women in the U.S. What I do specifically recall saying about Wonder Woman before it came out was when I highlighted feminists whining about how attractive Wonder Woman is and shaming her for promoting weight-loss protein bars. Which was hilarious.

he hadn't seen the film, when he did that video, based on what he was bitching about. *shrug* atomic blonde was awesome.and yeah, it's unrealistic in the same way that john wick is unrealistic.

it was about liberal bias, not specifically about feminism. but i do remember that stuff about people bitching about wonder woman not having hairy pits. that was dumb.

If you kill my dog, I become John Wick.

If you can find that quote I'd be more than happy to eat my words and say my interpretation was wrong at the time, but I just flat out don't remember ever bashing Wonder Woman.

have you seen atomic blonde? is this just a women shouldn't play action heroes thing?

don't worry about it. it's best forgotten, if it doesn't apply anymore.

Of course it is. Don't you know that I hate the Terminator movies because of that damn Sarah Connor being awesome?

well, then you need to explain it to me. :P i guess terminator 2 had a stronger male along with her, is the main difference between the two characters within their films.

It is the agenda that I don't support. Sarah Connor being a badass in Terminator wasn't done as an attack on men with the interjection of identity politics.

watched it again, now, cause you made me question if i was just missing something. so aside from kicking a lot of ass unrealistically, there is a line about "am i your bitch now?", which i guess if you want to find something to point to as feminist agenda, that's the thing. but meh. :P
