I don't really see her criticized before this, but outside Room, I didn't see her getting lauded either. Hence why I theorize her as a fluke.zombie wrote:yeah, i haven't seen larson criticized much, before the captain marvel thing. but maybe i'm in the wrong circles.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Lawrence is still pretty critically lauded, but yeah her half-assness with Xmen is obvious and everyone knows it.zombie wrote:maybe it's a jennifer lawrence type of thing. then. being critically lauded in a lot of work, but also having the x-men stuff and passengers on her resume. i don't know.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:I've seen Brie in both Skull Island and Captain Marvel now. Almost re-watched that the other day, as someone asked for something similar to the Baywatch flick, and that was the only one to really come to mind.

Oh, I see why she won that year. Room is the only one that had a juicy role, the rest are roles no one talks about, even Cate Blanchet's. Nevermind that Charlize Theron's Furiosa is still talked about, but we all know that was a monumental snub.
I also see that the kid is louder, much louder, so him being remembered is much easier, but it doesn't necessarily mean better.

We just need to wipe your palate clean with some Road Warrior and Payback as soon as you're done with the riff raff, is all. Maybe polish off with some Rambo 2 and Death Wish 3, because shit yeah.zombie wrote:i'm always the odd one out on hmf. *shrug*Reign in Blood wrote:You're contemplating a Larson double feature, we can check affirmative.zombie wrote:yeah, i haven't seen larson criticized much, before the captain marvel thing. but maybe i'm in the wrong circles.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:Lawrence is still pretty critically lauded, but yeah her half-assness with Xmen is obvious and everyone knows it.zombie wrote:maybe it's a jennifer lawrence type of thing. then. being critically lauded in a lot of work, but also having the x-men stuff and passengers on her resume. i don't know.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:I've seen Brie in both Skull Island and Captain Marvel now.
