It will get heated. Can't take it, don't open the forum.

This is yet another issue this myth that minorities are locked up for being poor or for just being minorities and not for their actions. It's too much of a generalization. I won't deny that the punishments for wealthy whites is grossly out of whack to what others get that is a big big problem in our country and sickening as well.

What happens if you can't post bail? That's essentially being locked up for being poor.

Luckily you can avoid the former by following the law.
I'm glad you like in a society where the goal is to throw as many people in jail as possible. I find it an embarrassment to the world.
The goal is zero crime and no one in prison.
How would you assess the performance of the U.S. there?

It's not working. Time to try something else. This is where being ideological instead of pragmatic is bad.

Fuck em. They face the consequences if their actions. End the benefits and/or their probation. Why waste tax money of workers on those not trying?
just let them do whatever they'll do on the streets, then?
As long as it is not criminal. If it is criminal, back to the clink. Eventually people will learn.
do you want the clink to just be like an internment camp of sorts for criminals (as i can't think of another example to fit), or do you want any focus on rehabilitation / re-integration at all?
I want it to be prison. forced rehabilitation is a waste of time and money.

You know why Alcoholics Anpnymous had such low success rates? Because most of the people who join are forced to. Imagine a gymnastics school where people go because they are forced. Now imagine one that only allows people in who show desire and dedication to the sport. Which will yield better outcomes?
so, i think we have some understanding of the justice system, education, and employment system with your proposal... what would the government look like, to implement and maintain such policy? would it be some kind of dictatorship like reign proposed or something else?

what would the news and entertainment media look like in such a system?

so force all liberals into their own region of the country? what do you propose to keep those policies from having a part in the system?

That's crazy talk moving people. Gotta convince people to stop electing people who do nothing but hurt them in the long run.

How about we start with personal responsibility. Blaming society is weak, old, and ineffective.

Independents get everything west of the Rockies. Liberals get the Midwest and Northeast. Conservatives get the South.

Sound good?

so, convince the people who to vote for?

even if they all voted the way you want them to, this gets tricky because the voters don't really have a say in what a politician ultimately does, after election.

This place is subsidized by the government. One of their main functions is training people to cook who need a second chance. Both of us were told in meetings with directors there that the students were not really motivated and there was no one they would really stand behind.

So...is this the right kind of teacher? Or are they simply being honest about the students?
I'm confused, was it the chef teacher who said this, or a director of the charity?
I hired the chef. We both hash similar experiences at the charity when we were told the students were no good.
By eachother? Or the person who hired you to teach them?

It's different. Foo is blaming society for setting up a system that is letting them blame society

Actually I am pointing out that it may not be necessary. The liberals will get together and destroy themselves. Riots, fires, terrorism, unsustainable entitlements are happening.

so liberalism destroys itself, and how do you ensure that it doesn't come up again in a form? is your system still going to be democratic, as far as elections go or not?

That is terrible and really depressing. What a bunch of dicks. Why work for charity if you don't believe in the charity. Seems like such a weird thing to do in life.
