Re: Favorite Horror movie for each year you've lived?
Interesting that while Friday the 13th is my favorite franchise, none of the movies managed to be my favorite horror movie in its given year. Plenty of close calls (NOES beat out Final Chapter, and 1985 was competitive as all fuck)
Re: Favorite Horror movie for each year you've lived?
it's possible that 1985 is the single best year for horror?

Possible. All mentioned so far are aces, and there's still Day of the Dead and Return Of The Living Dead still sitting on the table just off the top of my head. And the original Fright Night.zombie wrote:it's possible that 1985 is the single best year for horror?

This thread is different. I will work on my list. Between 3 bands and working a shit ton.....I haven't been able to participate in these types of threads. But I am digging this.
Re: Favorite Horror movie for each year you've lived?
We've already established on HMForiginal that 1985 was the best year for movies in general, with 1984 right up there with it.
Re: Favorite Horror movie for each year you've lived?
84-85 as the best years for all genres? i'll have to see proof of this.

Re: Favorite Horror movie for each year you've lived?
Ok, this was pretty hard and I did it at a fast pace. The hardest years to pick a fave was 81, 84, 85, 87, and 90. I flipped a coin for 84 between Friday the 13th part 4 and A Nightmare on Elm Street. '75 seemed to be a pretty bad year, so I picked Jaws. I do really like Jaws, it's just not my thing.
74- Black Christmas
75- Jaws
76- Carrie
77- Suspiria
78- Halloween

Re: Favorite Horror movie for each year you've lived?
Came up frequently as 2010 for me. I do see that it was festival releases though. I have no problem trumping the likable Fright Night remake for Insidious as 2011.Jason wrote:Insidious! (2011 in the U.S.)
Re: Favorite Horror movie for each year you've lived?
I thought it was 2010. Insidious was better than You're Next. *goes to edit*
