Was originally just going to be 25, then became 50, then 100. Stopping the list at 100. Main criteria: gotta have 3 items/episodes on the resume that has greatly entertained and/or influenced me. Stipulation: if there are multiple sequel movies, the franchise/sequel is represented by my favorite of the bunch.

One thing I noticed, just less than 20% of the list are women. I'm still brainstorming and organizing, but that seemed unbalanced to me right out of the gate, but if I can't think of more to fill the list and knocking others off, that's what it is. Not going to force it to accomidate.

wouldn't mind more of these updates before you get the list fully figured out. i think it's pretty interesting.

Originally I've just piled a bunch of people/bands/shows into a group until I had well over a hundred, then just sort of sorted them into a vague ranking. I'm also trying to let my mind think if I'm forgetting about anybody, which happens o' plenty.

I've included comic book artists and novelists. Now that you mention video games, i can probably brainstorm some of that too, highlighting which sequels in VG franchises and such...

Good call on video games. If I were to concoct a list, I'd likely forget that too and Mega Man 2 would have to be like top 20 just on number of hours of domination alone.

I'd lump VG fanchises as a whole rank, with mentioning specific sequels (like Mega Man 2 and 3) as the reason it's in position, or like Metroid series with Super Metroid and Metroid Prime. I guess like how I'd treat a TV series, then reference specific episodes.
