NBA Playoffs

All sports. We don't even mind if its women's Curling or junior badminton. Although we won't have strong opinions on the latter.

Professional sports teams go above and beyond already, they embody what every citizen should strive to be as far as making a difference for the world around you, lending your time and money to good causes and inspiring less fortunate people.
Tribalism is not really a worthy cause especially when it is wrapped in money.

Also, no one stresses the value of respect and education like the NBA!
I didn't say this was a worthy cause, just that it makes no differences. They already do a lot.

Go on...
Remember when Obama spoke of "teachable moments"? It is the same thing. At best, the appropriate response to the White House thing is to indicate you have not been invited. Upon the invite, if you can go, you go and show respect to the office. Acting like a bunch of classless fools when you fashion yourselves as role models is the opposite of what one should do.
Much ado about nothing. Hurts nobody, makes the NBA look good to its consumers. They make a much more direct impact on their community all the time.

By the way, only Steve Kerr has been on record talking about this from the Warriors' perspective. He didn't address skipping it, but did suggest there was upside to it. Nothing but rumors at this point.
Think for a moment about what this says about their consumers...
They agree with the polling results of U.S. voters who overwhelmingly disapprove of this administration? Illuminating.

They definitely aren't in this case. He was already disliked by more than half the country, now his supporters are realizing little by little that he's not going to be the champion of the forgotten man, nothing but a false prophet. Sad!

Remember all those Carrier employees who cried tears of joy after Trump's big public dog and pony show?

No, Democrats suck at winning elections. They are so good at losing elections, it's honestly hilarious. It's your party's incompetence that brings us back to square one every time.

If a Democrat and a Republican played basketball, the Democrat would turn it over trying fancy behind the back passes, the Republican would steal it and blow the layup every time. Republicans are constantly beating the odds and then shootings themselves in the foot. The Democrats are tone-deaf to their failures and sure enough, arrogance sets in every election.

You know, the guy who Trump shamelessly disrespected for years by championing the abhorrent birther movement? Any friends of Obama owe Trump no civility.
A couple of black racist people are buddies. Color me shocked.
