Because at 21-9 you only need 6 safeties, not 8! Duh.Headhunter wrote:What the fuck is wrong with NFL coaches?Headhunter wrote:Why the fuck would you kick a field goal down 21-6? Unbelievable.

Did Jean Claude Von Chubb do a damn thing? My saving grace for this season was supposed to be watching my Road Warriors throwing around Doomsday Devices like they’re going out of style, and I didn’t see shit.

Nobody hit Carr even once. Lots of three man pressures, hardly any blitzing, and Von/Chubb spent quite a bit of time in coverage.Reign in Blood wrote:Did Jean Claude Von Chubb do a damn thing? Re: 2019 HMF fantasy football
(Long post incoming.)
Von and Chubb will be fine. Might not be peak Von but he’ll produce and Chubb will be awesome. Denver will have a decision to make on Von’s contract soon though.
The bigger problem is all the talent the team just doesn’t have. That’s what year after year of horrible drafts does to a team. The linebackers are god awful, not a single guy who should be anything but an end of roster player in the entire group. Derek Wolfe is on a large salary and isn’t an effective player anymore. Shelby Harris is too small to hold up at nose tackle.
Years of bad decisions and bad draft picks at the CB position have given us Chris Harris who is already circling teams with his agent, an always injured Bryce Callahan and a bunch of barely NFL caliber talents. Justin Simmons has been about to break out for three years. He’s a special athlete but his instincts are lacking and he’s tentative to go make the plays available to him. If he can’t thrive in the most safety-friendly scheme in the league, it’s time to move on.
Offensively, Flacco is a little better than what we’ve had. He can still uncork dimes with some heat into that 15-20 yard range between the linebacker and safety. Haven’t had that since Peyton. But the play is over with any pressure with the guy and he’s frustratingly inaccurate. He mostly makes the right reads if someone gets open, but his inaccuracy is going to cost Denver points and 3rd down conversions all year. Joe’s a competent but limited player.
Garett Bolles will always be a pain in the fucking ass and someone the team will have to hamstring its passing game to help in pass pro. You shouldn’t have to help your left tackle! He’s immature, undisciplined and seemingly just doesn’t get it. Ron Leary is totally washed up after all those injuries, also on a big contract. McGovern isn’t a natural center, mobility and quickness are lacking. The unreal run of bad mishaps at RT continue.
Sutton and Lindsay are fun pieces but overall Denver has a pretty lethargic group of skill guys (not counting Sanders who will leave next year) and they don’t have the threatening matchup pieces to attack modern defenses. Too many plays where nobody got open against a garbage defense. Fant’s performance was horrendous.
Special teams are bad because the depth is bad.
I trust Fangio and Munchak, so I expect the defense and running game to improve. Right now it’s just very apparent the team doesn’t have the horses, and that’s not on the coaches. Elway is the reason this team has been bad, but nothing to see here. He won us two Super Bowls doing a different job, so who cares if he isn’t good at his current one.

Antonio Brown accused of rape and there may be receipts in the form of e-mails and texts. He might be cooked now.

Re: 2019 HMF fantasy football
Also, the fuck, you took a guy who won't play this year over Derrick Henry. I thought that was the guy you were hinting at taking since you've declared him a top 1 RB in the past so I'm happy to have that guy on my team now. You handed him to me on a platter.
