Re: September 25th 2019
I cared enough to keep it, and I've watched some of the movies, so it's still a useful thing to have. I'm not that heartless.Headhunter wrote:Thanks for reminding us that we worked hard for you and you didn't even care. :cry:Jigsaw wrote:Not my main interest. I'm primarily a horror fan, and other movies always come second to me. I had HMF make a list of non-horror films I should watch (which is a list I still should have, on a side-note), but I never really wanted to focus only on those films at the expense of horror, especially when there's still literally thousands of horror movies out there I still want to see.Ava wrote:Wow. Just made a top four horror films from 1976, and Carrie was nowhere to be found.
Thought you all so know now while you still detest me for not seeing Goodfellas.

Asylum was really good.zombie wrote:asylum is easily my favorite of what i've seen. the first ep of 84 was good stuff though.Headhunter wrote:I'm also intrigued by 1984 and I haven't watched since Asylum. Good move to get the HMF demographic watching.
I stopped watching after the Freak Show one. It took a wrong turn for me for a while.
Coven was lame. Murder House is my favorite.

Can't remember if you are one of the Omen haters like me. Alice, Sweet Alice? Bloodsucking Freaks?Jigsaw wrote:Just made a top four horror films from 1976, and Carrie was nowhere to be found.

His #1 is probably Burnt Offerings.Headhunter wrote:Can't remember if you are one of the Omen haters like me. Alice, Sweet Alice? Bloodsucking Freaks?Jigsaw wrote:Just made a top four horror films from 1976, and Carrie was nowhere to be found.

I don't hate it. Kinda liked it. It's not worthy of all-time-great praise, imo.zombie wrote:everyone, save for me, hates the original carrie. so you're in good company.Jigsaw wrote:Just made a top four horror films from 1976, and Carrie was nowhere to be found.

Are you going to reveal your top 4 or just leave us all half-chubbed and frustrated?

Every copy on this planet of the original Carrie should be burned. To ashes. Then burned again just to make sure nobody has to suffer through a viewing of it. Just saying...

Jason's the winner. Burnt Offerings is my #1, followed closely by The Omen (always liked this one). The third is a bit of a surprise (even to me, as I was making the list), which is The Town That Dreaded Sundown. #4 is indeed Alice, Sweet Alice.
Bloodsucking Freaks (personally, I think The Incredible Torture Show is a better name, though) was goofy fun, but the year was too strong for a movie that's goofy fun to place top four.
