The Gate was a great pick to start the challenge. Awesome atmosphere to start the challenge.

The Gate's a good one. I remember it fondly during the early 90's with sleepovers, since it was a "safe" horror movie.

I didn't think it was terrible. In fact, I plan on watching it again this month.

I missed out. I definitely would've loved this one as a kid.

Thoughts in time and out of season
The hitchhiker stood by the side of the road and leveled his thumb in the calm calculus of reason

Next up is The Hitcher (1986)

Definitely a great pick! I remember my older brothers renting it when it came out. I thought the Killer Dwarfs reference was really cool. I watched it a few months ago. Still holds up.

I refuse to watch the remake. Or even Hitcher 2. No Rutger Hauer, no dice. He really made that movie so great. C Thomas Howell was awful in it.

Haunt was pretty darn good. Some disapppointing CGI kills, but there were also some pretty good real FX work too to offset it. Harper was a smart damn final girl, and I'm glad the Nathan character wasn't a little bitch.
