The Black Cat (1934) is still disappointing. Seen it once before, and while I want to like it (Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff both starring? yes, please), the whole satanism thing (which isn't even mentioned until 50 minutes into the movie) just seems shoe-horned in there, causing much of the finale to be bleh.

Still, some solid sequence. Easily one of the better disappointing movies of the 1930's. :P

Only seen that once, and I recall it being a little dry. That said, that's one of the rewatches I'm a bit more excited for, so when I finally do see it again, I'm hoping for a good time.

I saw the Vampire Doll a few Octobers ago. Didn't know it was related to the other two movies. Haven't seen either Lake or Evil of Dracula, but heard about both of them.

they're all vampire films and directed by the same guy. that's as much connection as they seem to have, from what i recall.

Watching Tale of Two Sisters. Great opening music. Reminds me of something Angelo Badalamenti would do for David Lynch, like Blue Velvet.

I'm watching the one from 2003.

A scene happened that seemed ghost-ish.
