I know this talking point pisses people off, but glorification and aestheticization of violence, really the core of Gen X/Millenial entertainment, is probably having an effect on vulnerable young minds. We have to keep in mind that just because we can handle it ourselves (duh, horror fans) doesn’t mean everyone can.

Kid shooting people in Call of Duty all day + avoiding emotional growth and meaningful relationships...that’s a pretty toxic stew.

That's a really good point. So many folks whose whole life revolves around video games. Hard to mature normally that way.
