Haven't made one of these in years. Just wanted to mention that I got the job, and this seemed the best place for it.

That's fucking awesome, man. Glad to see you're well set up in a place where you're happier.
Is Ava the only Floridian left on HMF? Both Slaughter and Zombie in better places now.

Re: 12/16/19
Thanks guys! I figured I would get it, as I always seem to do well in interviews as long as I get to actually talk to someone. It's all the computerized shit that always turns me down(which is funny, because I actually had a job a couple years ago where the lady I talked to wanted to hire me, but the dumbass questionnaire program they had me fill out said no[with no explanation I might add], so I didn't get the job). I just hope it doesn't drive me nuts like my old job.

Was it the job/position or the people/place that drove you nuts?

Mostly the people(owners and customers), but also the work itself. This is in the same industry, but a different position, so I have no idea if it'll be better or not. The pay is a hell of a lot better, though, so at least there's that.Reign in Blood wrote:Was it the job/position or the people/place that drove you nuts?

With your voice, people surely can’t say no.Slaughterhouserock wrote:Thanks guys! I figured I would get it, as I always seem to do well in interviews as long as I get to actually talk to someone. Really pleased for you. More money, less fucking mental customers (hopefully) and all round better quality of life with luck. Enjoy!

Also gotta ask, how was the drive? Obviously was all about the destination, but that's as fucking cross-country of a cross-country drive as you can possibly concoct.

Re: 12/16/19
Long and draining. I had a route planned out, but kept going most days just to get it over with. Impressions/highlights: Louisiana had a road that had a dead deer on the side of it every mile or so for the whole damn state, Mississippi was straight up creepy backwoods the whole way, Texas was a desolate wasteland with tons of abandoned and rotting buildings scattered everywhere, New Mexico was less decrepit, but still pretty barren, Arizona was cool, California was shit and also had surprisingly large areas of nothing throughout, Oregon was ok, but they don't allow self-serve at gas stations, which is ridiculous. It was otherwise completely uneventful.Headhunter wrote:Also gotta ask, how was the drive? Speaking for California, sounds like you're talking about the endless barren wasteland of the Central Valley. The drive up the Pacific coast is beautiful. Driving through the middle of California will make you question everything you thought you knew about the state. You can find pretty much anything in California, but like most places in the world the majority is just dying farmland.Slaughterhouserock wrote:Long and draining.
