Thanks guys! Had to work it but it ended fun. Finally off on holiday WOOOOOOOOT!
Funny story from yesterday. At office work party, the boss did this sort of elephant game where you can steal gifts from another person. Now normally when I've played this I have never given a fart about it because it is usally gag gifts. Just for the fun of it. Well the boss puts 6 fancy looking bags down in the center of the floor. She tells us to pick numbers out of a bag. Well I pick the number 3. First person goes and we all realize that the boss has put $200 purses in each bag. I thought to myself "Holy Shit...it is about to get all Thunderdome up in here".
They are all different colors and designs.
(Now just backstory on me... I am pretty simple. I have never needed to have a name on my clothes, shoes. I think it is from growing up middle class poor and having weeks that there was not even enough food in the house that I'm fine with a pair of $12 jeans as I am with $80 ones. Long as butt is covered, they are cute, I'm comfy and no bunching in nether regions. I'm good.) So when I open my bag I pull out the cutest black purse. It's PERFECT. The leather on this is like running your hand on a kitten. It has a leather strap that ends in a delicate gold chain with amazing little details on it. It's so fancy looking and sleek and black as my soul. I just fell in love. Then I was like "FUCK". Someone is gonna take it. Gal across from me was already asking me to show it so she can see the length. I didn't care for all the other purses because they were pink, or beige. I wanted this black one, bad.
Someone made a joke and the bag picking continued but the gal across from me was still eyeing my gift. I was trying to hide it behind my other gift bags.In between the others opening their bags she would say "But I want a black one". In my head I was like "play it cool, hide it, play it cool". Don't show that you are in love with it. So everyone opens their bags. Most of the girls are thrilled with theirs except for that one gal. There was about a minute where someone started to talk about a subject and the game had come pretty much to a close when out of the blue that gal goes "I want to see how that black one looks on me". I thought the game was done! I panicked and grabbed my bag and ran out down the hallways, across the building, through the long parking lot and threw it in my car. I was like "take it now motherfucker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". I came back in to all of them hysterical laughing because they never seen me run that fast and the fact they had it all on security cameras. Me running like a crazy person with an expression that is clearly panic. My boss was crying she was laughing so hard. I guess nobody ever took off over a gift at the office before.
Did I cheat, maybe, just a little. But did I get it....hell yeah I got it!!
