Re: March 3rd 2020
Just passed my exam. I am now officially a certified personal trainer. Only took about a week to read the book, but man, fuck the scientific terminology used. No one talks like that in real life, so what's the point? Now I need to decide if I want to start on my nutritionist certification, or wait a bit.

Thanks! But intense is not how I'd describe it. I read a book, then took an exam. I mean, the book was big, but it was hardly intensive.showa58taro wrote:Congrats! Sounds like it was intense.

But you must’ve learned the stuff you read at least. So that counts for something.Slaughterhouserock wrote:Thanks! But intense is not how I'd describe it. I read a book, then took an exam. I mean, the book was big, but it was hardly intensive.showa58taro wrote:Congrats! Sounds like it was intense.

Re: March 3rd 2020
The problem with the fitness industry is that there's a whole lot of opinions and not enough facts, so what I "learned" was their opinions on certain things. The facts I already knew. Certification does not equate to knowledge, it's just necessary to get a job at a gym, or to show credentials to potential clients(who are just happy to see a piece of paper saying you're certified). I liken it to all the ads I see requiring a BA/BS to stock shelves. People like that paper, even when it's pointless.showa58taro wrote:But you must’ve learned the stuff you read at least.
