Watching A New Hope and there’s a few things R1 and the prequels fucked up purely in terms of basic continuity. Bit strange but quite funny to see.

Almost certainly. I’m only on New Hope so far. :D

It is still impressive how bad 1-3 are when compared to R1 and ANH

Am also infinitely aware they have clearly put the new cuts/versions on here. Visible extra CGI stuff that adds nothing to the film.

Basically, George didn't have it all planned out as he claimed he did. More like he had ideas, then fleshed them out as he went. It gets pretty obvious lol.

Indeed. But you’d think some very basic things they literally state happened would need to be accounted for. Like Luke meeting OB1 and getting a lightsaber, OB1 says “it was a gift from your father” which just wasn’t a thing in the prequels whatsoever but a big deal. As was the idea he says that he hasn’t used the name OB1 since long before Luke was born which, again, isn’t what happened.

Hopefully pops is okay, because he is awesome and us three need to throw down.

Might be my favorite movie scene of all time.

And not for nothing, if you could win a word with anyone alive or dead, I know I'd have an absolute blast talking to Burgess on a porch, talk enough to last a lifetime on Rocky, Batman and Time Enough at Last alone.
