Damn! I've always liked him.Jason wrote:Elway making some bitchin free agent moves. Just added Melvin Gordon cheap.
Digging this squad right now.
Re: NFL Discussion: 2020 Season
I just want to take this moment to express how grateful I am that the Broncos chose the 2010 season to absolutely suck ass and get the number two overall pick in the 2011 draft. I also want to express relief in that John Elway selected Von Miller instead of Marcell Dareus, despite most NFL analysts projecting the latter. 2nd best overall linebacker in NFL history behind the almighty L.T.
Hope Von retires a Bronco, and thrilled he was selected unanimously for the All-Decade squad.
Probably my favorite fumble of all time...

Talib should have made it too.

XFL shutting down and won't return in 2021. Sorry Vince.

All sporting events should be cancelled at this point. Only sensible thing to do.

Re: NFL Discussion: 2020 Season
How is it sensible to cancel events months into the future? The XFL already shut down its season. If we’re talking about the virus shutting down sports in 2021, that’s an indicator of a depression that’s worse than anything experienced in modern history by a country mile. Nobody needs to hear that shit even if it turns out to be true.
Let’s treat a fluid situation like the fluid situation it is and not engage in fear-mongering.

I'm with Headward. I know a lot of people are like "ah, it's sports, get over it". It signifies something far greater, talk of shutting that shit down.

This thing is here for the next year or two. It’s just worth accepting that to me.

Which is not the same thing as the world being locked down and unable to conduct business for two years.

And on an actual NFL note...
It’s fucking embarrassing hearing coaches, execs and owners anonymously cry and whine to the media about how unfair it is that they have to do the draft on schedule. Millions of people losing their jobs and these guys can’t stop crying about how they have to learn Zoom and can’t have face to face meetings with players they’ve had ample opportunities to meet with before the crisis. These guys need to shut up.

It’s tragic, really. Get your violins out for the poor NFL front offices who have to learn basic technology.
