I've had a lot of that lately. Trying to get to sleep by a certain hour so I can get more sleep in, but doesn't work. Even the allergy meds aren't knocking me out like they normally would. They make me sleepy, but it just won't crank over and fall asleep.

It's one of the most horrible things to deal with watching the clock roll on and doing sleep possibility math.

Have you tried watching a subtitled movie? I find that laying in a comfortable position and reading tends to make the eyes get heavier.

is this just like the television is used as a "babysitter", or are people actually leaving their children at home alone, to be watched by someone over the internet?

It's hard enough to get a kid to listen to you when you are in the same room, let alone over a fucking webcam, but it's probably the latter.

In other news, I just realized I forgot to update my car insurance with my new address, so I did it now. Dropped the fucking premium by $300/6 months. Now I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. Also, fuck florida for apparently grossly over-charging for insurance.

Well, Kickboxer 5 was pretty terrible, but I still had fun, which is all that matters, I guess.

About to revisit I Don't Want to Be Born (1975).

This one's also known as Sharon's Baby (which was the title I first watched it under) and The Devil Within Her (which is the title it's under on Amazon Prime). I recall this one had an iffy conclusion, but it also has Donald Pleasence, so it's still worth a watch.

Briefly considered signing up to LetterBoxd, but I don't think it'd be my thing.

Going to the movie now. Be cool, all.
