Let me take that back. It is fine but not necessarily normal for someone with no real information to get such a meeting. It is surprising she was not vetted better before reaching that tier.

Well Trump's administration is notoriously incompetent so no, it really isn't surprising...Foo wrote:Let me take that back. It is fine but not necessarily normal for someone with no real information to get such a meeting. It is surprising she was not vetted better before reaching that tier.

Have not seen one snarky tweet from Trump Sr. So you know this is serious shit. Someone must be standing in front of him saying "Don't you fucking dare touch that phone"
Re: CNN Producer Admits Trump-Russia Collusion is Staged
I somehow doubt anyone is standing between Trump and his keyboard. He clearly gives no shits.Tiggnutz wrote:Have not seen one snarky tweet from Trump Sr. So you know this is serious shit. Someone must be standing in front of him saying "Don't you fucking dare touch that phone"

I just checked. He was tweeting about it this morning.

Of course it is. Don't confuse reality with the fabricated outrage.Headhunter wrote:Not when it comes from a foreign government.Foo wrote:Yes, and that is fine. You don't see how literally everything gets this same reaction? It is the same phony outrage day after day.

I scolded you?Jmac Attack wrote: I get ya. But even at the Dallas funeral, Obama admitted as much. I posted it here, but Ava scolded me about him, lol. Not sure he is ultimately responsible, but it seems that he wishes he could have done better. A lot of people feel like he didn't do so well in his speeches after any time a black dude was killed by a white dude and it gained national attention. So my assessment was that he wasn't that great in retrospect. It is a much bigger issue that we can't solely blame the president.
What is your take on it?
If by scold you mean was passionately mad at my piece of shit president who would throw out defense of black lives matter protests (which motivated the killer), bringing up Alton Sterling, Travyon Martin and Philando Castile at a funeral where the officers were killed by a sniper who killed them because they were white cops. In front of their greiving famililes. Their children hearing this. Pushing his racial bullshit agenda. It was distasteful and wrong. I can't imagine being a kid and having my dad executed like that and have the president come in and pull that garbage.
Telling the police "so that maybe the police officer sees his own son in that teenager with a hoodie". Really Mr. President. Ya gotta go there at the funeral? Telling the cops they can "change". Really ya gotta go there at the funeral? That they can hear the pain of Black Lives Matter. Really Mr. President you just couldn't stop yourself could ya?
This was a racial motivated execution of good people. Funny you remember me "scolding" you but you don't rememeber me saying that I thought absolutely he should go there because him showing up meant a great deal since he is president, but not bring up what he brought up. He could have easily just gone and given a speech that was uplifting, positive and made the family members feel better. Any other day J-Mac. Any other place would have been different.

As you can see from the post above, lose-lose. No way for Obama to please both sides. Two communities screaming in his ear that he didn't do enough to protect them. It's all nonsense, of course.

Do you not see how literally everything you post is some really half-assed excuse for Trump? The goalposts move constantly and you just keep rolling with it. So really, you should not be in the "complain about phony outrage" business when you've made nothing but disingenuous and phony arguments to support Trump for months. You kinda lose being able to play the "phony outrage" card there.Foo wrote:Of course it is. It's like some here need constant reassurance that Obama was a bad president and Hillary would have been too..while you watch someone else be a bad president. It's questionable prioritization if nothing else.

Thing is, a BLM protester could have given us 95% of that well written rant word-for-word and felt equally betrayed by Obama. Perception is everything and the perception of Obama on that issue was negative on both sides. Why not acknowledge he was working from a weak position and wanted to be as inclusive as possible. Lot of things Obama did wrong as president, that case is just him getting the shit end of the stick.

I was listening to Dennis Prager during the speech, and he and his callers (some callers) were saying they finally got a heartfelt speech out of him regarding race because he was pointing out his flaws on the subject. Or something like that.Headhunter wrote:Thing is, a BLM protester could have given us 95% of that well written rant word-for-word and felt equally betrayed by Obama. At least we know there was collusion sought by Trump now.
