I know you're a Neverending Story guy, so why not that? I'm particularly fond of A Goofy Movie. I still laugh my ass off every time I watch it.Reign in Blood wrote:I didn't say yours. Or Slaughter's. Or... Fine, we'll stick with mine, flick that will lift my spirit.

Re: June 30th 2020
I was broke at the time and she mentioned previously on FB that she wants to read it. So that's what I did. I have no idea if she's read it yet. We don't talk much.Dream wrote:DancesWithWerewolves wrote:I actually gave my mom a copy of the current (digital) draft of my first book for Mother's Day.Dream wrote:DancesWithWerewolves wrote:It is a strange thing, but it has to be done if I'm going to take this seriously :/Reign in Blood wrote:lol, sorry that made me laugh, because I'm picturing you on the runway and shiz.DancesWithWerewolves wrote:I'll be busy Sunday, but I'm open Saturday.Reign in Blood wrote:Think we could use a group sesh or two over the holiday here! Getting headshots done for my authorship.
I, admittedly, will never take my writing that seriously because I don't ever want my family to know about anything I've written. If they all die out mysteriously, maybe, but then friends could still find out, so probably not.
*Pictures giving my mom a copy of any of the things I've written.* Yeah that would be hilarious but also horrifying, especially if she read any of it.
She got bent out of shape because she found out my husband walked in on my cousin breast feeding when he dropped off some food we picked up for her after she had her first daughter. Me and my cousin laughed about it. Poor Mark was horrified, sat the food down and took off without saying a word, and my mom thought it was scandalous because he saw her breast with a baby attached. He grew up in a beach town and he's seen boobs in bikinis blocking much less than a baby does. I'm not about to get bent out of shape about it because I probably look at other girls more than he does.

I actually like A Goofy Movie a lot too.Slaughterhouserock wrote:I know you're a Neverending Story guy, so why not that? I'm particularly fond of A Goofy Movie. Return of the Living Dead is one of my July 4th movies, along with Jaws and The Patriot.
Running a blank on "uplifting" movies to groupwatch though. I watched it a couple weeks ago, but I could again cause #carlreiner, but Summer School is one I think we all enjoy.

Summer School is my shit. I was 12 when it came out. Rented it from Blockbuster. I thought Chainsaw and Dave were the coolest. Mine got a phone call. I love my mom, but I can't stand her lately and I've cut contact down to a minimum. I'm not going out of my way for family anymore when they've repeatedly shown they don't give a shit about me unless I'm being useful to them.

Well, it's been fun but my phone is about to die and I don't want to set up my laptop.
